Free Summer Meals for Kids and Teens in Alaska
Summer Meals • SFSP • 4 min read • May 30, 2025 12:15:00 PM • Written by: Food Bank of Alaska Child Nutrition Team

When school is out, many families across Alaska lose access to free and reduced-price meals. The Summer Food Service Program helps fill that gap by providing free, nutritious meals to children and teens all summer long.
All kids and teens 18 and under can receive meals at no cost. No registration or paperwork is required. Just show up and enjoy a healthy meal in a safe, welcoming space.
Funded by the USDA, this program supports families by making sure kids have access to the food they need to grow, learn, and stay active during the summer months.
