October 22-29 is a good time to make that lunch date or finally try the restaurant you've had saved on your phone. Anchorage Restaurant Week gives you a reason to dine locally while supporting Food Bank of Alaska.
Whether you're planning dinner with friends or picking up something sweet, here's how to participate and find a meal that gives back.
How does Anchorage Restaurant Week work?
Start by visiting foodbankofalaska.org/arw to explore participating restaurants and how each is supporting the event.
Restaurants participate in different ways. Some donate a percentage of sales from selected menu items, while others offer guests an opportunity to give directly. A special menu isn't required at every location, and donation arrangements vary.
When you visit, look for Restaurant Week materials and ask about the restaurant's participation. You can also scan the event's QR code to make an optional donation directly to Food Bank of Alaska.
A few ways to make your meal count
More restaurants are sharing their participation details as the event approaches. Check the live restaurant list before you go, including each restaurant's website or social channels for current menus and hours.

Plan a week that works for you
You don't have to turn Restaurant Week into a full dining itinerary. Choose a visit that fits your plans and budget.
If you're already organizing a staff lunch, consider a participating restaurant. For a night out, check whether reservations are available and review the restaurant's offer before booking. If you prefer takeout, ask whether your order qualifies for its Restaurant Week promotion.
Keep your server's tip separate from any donation. A gift to Food Bank of Alaska is an additional way to support the event.
Why your support matters 🍽️
One in 6 Alaskans experiences food insecurity, including 1 in 5 children. Food Bank of Alaska works with more than 150 partner agencies to help neighbors access food across the state.
Restaurant Week gives local businesses and their customers a way to support that work. Our goal is to raise $50,000, and your contribution helps move us closer.
Thank you to Visit Anchorage and Sysco for helping us reach more diners through expanded advertising and printed materials.

Supporting our neighbors and local restaurants
Restaurant Week is also an opportunity to support Anchorage’s service industry. When you choose a participating restaurant, you’re supporting a local business and the people who make your dining experience possible.
The people who serve our meals can also face challenges putting food on their own tables. Having a job doesn’t always mean having enough to cover groceries and other household expenses.
Our goal is to raise $50,000 for Food Bank of Alaska while encouraging more people to visit local restaurants. It’s a chance to support the places we enjoy and help more neighbors access food.
Tip your server as you normally would, and keep any donation to Food Bank of Alaska separate.
A few questions before you go
Does everything I order generate a donation?
That depends on the restaurant. Some offers apply to a specific item or category of sales. Review the restaurant's participation details or ask your server which purchases qualify.
Do I have to make an additional donation?
No. Giving through the QR code is optional. If you'd like to contribute, you can choose an amount that works for you.
Can I donate without dining out?
Yes. Visit foodbankofalaska.org/arw to make a direct donation to Food Bank of Alaska.
How can I help spread the word?
Share your visit on social media, tag the restaurant and @ancrestaurantweek, and use #AncRestaurantWeek. Your post can help someone else discover a place to visit.
